Peer Mentors
Peer Mentors
We have over 40 Peer Mentors from Year 2, Year 4 and Year 6. They are picked by the teachers to work with Miss Greenland. She trains the groups to be able to support other children in the playground. When they are on duty they are responsible for;
- ensuring everyone has someone to play with
- creating small games
- playing with groups of younger children
- resolving small issues
- supporting the lunchtime supervisors
- ensuring the playground is a happy place
The Peer Mentors are independent, trust worthy and are taught skills to help them successfully do their job in the playground.
