Week commencing Monday 20th January:
This week in our topic work, we will be considering some of the most important human achievements of prehistoric times and ordering them according to their significance.
In guided reading, we will read the second chapter of 'Stig of the Dump'. This week, our reading focus will again be predicting.
In English sessions, we will be learning to use fronted adverbials in our writing. We will think about the character of the boy from 'Stone Age Boy' by Satoshi Kitamura and compose 'Postcards from the Stone Age'.
In mathematics sessions, we will be learning about the distributive law and using it to multiply 2 and 3 digit numbers by 1 digit numbers.
In science, we will begin our topic on sound and think about how sounds are made and how sound travels.
