Birthdays & Healthy Schools

Some parents like to bring in treats as part of a celebration for a child's birthday or a special occasion. However, as part of our Healthy School approach (and to protect children with allergies) we are unable to hand out such treats and you will be asked to return them to your home.

If you would like to know what the children learn at Anson then download our learning leaflets for each year group. These contain the targets for your child in their year group.

Anson Primary School believes that 'tick-sheet' homework is not a good use of children's time at home. We set meaningful homework that is spread over time for the children to dive deeply into subjects. Find out more by clicking the link below.

We use Apple Technology in the classroom to help us fulfil our vision of creative learning. Children use music, video, photography, drawing and coding to support their learning. They also use iPad to develop their reading, writing and mathematics. Our use of technology is embedded across the curriculum and all teachers are trained in how to use it effectively to ensure rapid progress in learning.

You can also look at the offer from the London Grid for Learning, who provide resources for learning and to support us keep the children safe and secure in school.

We film all the action from the Anson stage so that you can watch it again at home. If you need to be at work, or cannot make an assembly, please click the link below and watch the performance online.

There are a range of clubs on offer each term at Anson. The clubs are selected by children at the end of each term and paid for online. We have a number of outside providers running clubs, as well as staff. They usually run for ten weeks.

We have outstanding behaviour at Anson both in the classroom and around the school. This is because of a clear set of rules and high expectations of the children. As such we reward everyone as an individual, a class and as a whole school.  Find out more below.

We have a social networking presence to keep parents informed about the school, wherever they find it easiest to access. Please do 'follow' or 'like' us if you stumble onto a social network.
