Building a Brighter Future

Battersea

We have Sticky Sheets presentations for 'Ancient Greece' on Monday, Sports Day on Wednesday and 'Talent Quest' on Friday of this week, so it's going to be a busy week.

In maths, we will be solving problems involving adding and multiplying amounts of money.

In English, we will continue to combine our reading strategies to study non-fiction texts about the Ancient Greeks. We will also be writing our own fables in the Big Write.

In science, we will continue our investigation of 'States of Matter', looking at solids, liquids and gases.

Remember to prepare for our weekly times tables and spelling tests, as well as the last group of bonus spellings for this academic year.

'Rock, Paper, Iron': Well done to everyone in Battersea Class for what was one of the best sets of Sticky Sheets presentations ever!

Below are photographs of some of your work. Looking forward to the 'Ancient Greece' Sticky Sheets!

You can watch the video of our assembly, "Circus of War",

on Anson TV. Enjoy!

Woolton Pie: As part of our topic about the Blitz, we followed an original recipe from the period of rationing during World War II to bake authentic Woolton Pies.

And these were the results. Served with Bisto gravy, they were delicious! And they're cheap and very nutritious too!
