Building a Brighter Future

Battersea

Welcome back to a glorious Summer Term.

This week, years 3 and 4 will be completing our unit of work on fractions.

In English, we will continue with our reading strategies, focusing on clarifying. We will also begin a new unit of work on instructional texts, based around the book 'How to Wash a Woolly Mammoth'.

In Science, we will begin a new and exciting unit on sound.

Remember to prepare for our weekly times tables and spelling tests, as well as the Summer Term's first group of bonus spellings.

It's a very short half term with a great deal to be crammed into it!

'Rock, Paper, Iron': Well done to everyone in Battersea Class for what was one of the best sets of Sticky Sheets presentations ever!

Below are photographs of some of your work. Looking forward to the 'Ancient Greece' Sticky Sheets!

You can watch the video of our assembly, "Circus of War",

on Anson TV. Enjoy!

Woolton Pie: As part of our topic about the Blitz, we followed an original recipe from the period of rationing during World War II to bake authentic Woolton Pies.

And these were the results. Served with Bisto gravy, they were delicious! And they're cheap and very nutritious too!
