The school aims to stay open on every school day throughout the year and we always think very carefully before taking the decision to close the school. Aside from the 5 scheduled INSET days there are only exceptional circumstances when the school may close. These may include:

• Poor weather (snow)
• Dangerous conditions (such as heating failure, access to facilities, dangerous conditions on site)
• Polling Days

In the event of any school closure we will text parents and give as much notice as possible. In the lead up to a closure the website and newsletters will display notice of the closure each week. 

If there is bad weather that forces the school to close we will:

• send a text message to parents
• update the school website
• update LGfL Opencheck

We will not be available on the telephone as we will either be trying to clear the site or we will not be on site due to the weather. Please do not call the school.
