Anson Primary School is committed to facilitating training for teachers to develop skills and build confidence to use Apple Technology in the classroom. We are offering teachers the opportunity to send staff to 6 accredited training sessions, running throughout the year on a Tuesday afternoon from 4pm to 5.30pm, which will coach them to become an accredited Apple Teacher.

Let there be music
The final session will explore the power of music in the classroom. Using GarageBand we will create soundtracks for presentations and showcase how are writing can be made into music.
In addition to these 6 face-to-face workshops, staff who sign up will be encouraged to share ways in which they have improved their practice following the sessions. They will also need to work through online courses via the Apple Teacher Learning Centre. We therefore understand that committing to this program takes a significant amount of time, which is why we are offering the training free of charge. The courses will be facilitated by Apple Distinguished Educator, Simon Pile and all staff will be able to receive online support throughout the course using e-mail or FaceTime.
By the end of the year, staff will achieve Apple Teacher status and receive a digital badge they can print and use in a professional capacity. They will also be part of a global community of Apple Teachers, gaining access to an online learning centre full of resources designed by Apple Education for use in the classroom. Your school will also have a member of staff with secure knowledge of how to use iPad and Apple software in learning across the primary curriculum. Furthermore, your new Apple Teacher will be able to support other staff in your school in achieving Apple Teacher status.
We often welcome groups of Digital Leaders to Anson for a morning or afternoon of creativity.
Using the Everyone Can Create resources we explore fun activities that will give your Digital Leaders a chance to create drawing, music, film and photography to share their messages of online safety.
