Reading

Choose a book. Read the book. Share the story. Have a look at some questions you can ask for any book that you read. 

 

 

Writing - Weekly Focus (Diary)

Now is the time to start writing a diary to capture your observations, feelings and ideas about what is happening in the UK in 2020.

Try using a special notebook, some decorated paper or ICT to make notes about what you see, hear, feel and think about things you find around you. Talk to your family and friends about your feelings and thoughts and find out what they think.

  • Headings
  • Sub-headings
  • Paragraphs
  • Past tense
  • Future tense
  • 1st person

 

Mathematics - Weekly Focus (length and measurement)

Log in to Topmarks to play this measuring game. Busythings using the student login* details and have a go at the activities and quizzes about length and converting measurements. 

 

Home Activity:

Use a ruler or measuring tool to measure different toys or things you can find in your kitchen cupboard. Try using centimetres (cm) and millimetres (mm) and putting them in order. 

 

*If you do not have access to the internet try the home activity.

PE

Children need regular breaks and exercise. If you have a safe outdoor space please ensure you get some fresh air and exercise. If you do not have an outdoor space try one of these Dance videos.
