Writing weekly focus – Letter writing

As the school year draws to a close, this week we are going to reflect on how the year has been. It probably wasn't the kind of school year you were expecting!

Can you remember all the way back to the start of the school year in September? Do you remember how you felt to be in Year 3? Can you remember any of the targets that you set yourself?

Maybe you wanted to improve your handwriting. Maybe you wanted to learn all of your times tables up to 12 x 12.

This week you should write a letter to your teacher. Use the formal letter writing style we have learned.

The template below will help.

In your letter you could include some memories of the school year. Think about your class assembly, workshops or lessons you particularly enjoyed or trips you went on.

Then you could write about the things you have been doing at home. Have you missed school? Have you learned any new skills?

Please try to share your letters by uploading them to the Anson blog - We have really missed you all and love to see how hard you are working!
