Animal Cam

Edinburgh Zoo Webcams

There is a wonderful world of animals to explore and Edinburgh Zoo are helping us to see the animals with a section of webcams pointing at the animal enclosures.

The cameras are currently watching 5 of the animal enclosures, including the nesting area of the penguin enclosure. There is a also a very elusive tiger that appears to know where the cameras are placed and is avoiding them!

Why not visit the zoo by clicking the link below?

Have you got a device that can run Google Chrome?

The team at Google have developed Google 3D and this is giving you the chance to explore the wonderful world of animals inside your own home.

The first step is to search for an animal in Google.

At the moment you can search for:

an alligator, angler fish, brown bear, cat, cheetah, dog (labrador retriever, pug, rottweiler), duck, eagle, emperor penguin, giant panda, goat, hedgehog, horse, lion, macaw, octopus, shark, shetland pony, snake, tiger, turtle and a wolf.

Once you have your animal, scroll down until you see the 'view in 3D' icon. Tapping this will allow you to use your camera to place the animal in the real world.

This give you the chance to welcome a tiger into your garden, a panda into your kitchen or hold a hedgehog in your hand.
