Your spelling list can be accessed on Spelling Shed through your home page. Click on ‘Challenge Words’.
Choose a book. Read the book. Share the story. Have a look at some questions you can ask for any book that you read.
There are also a number of fantastic audio books available to listen to for free through Audible.
Writing - Weekly Focus (poetry)
Look at this picture.
Talk about this picture with someone in your family. Look at the questions underneath and answer some of them together.
Now create a narrative poem about the picture. Consider making connections to our recent study of ‘The Highwayman’ (please find a copy attached below).
Develop a plan for your poem.
Try writing down your poem during this week.
Think about similes, metaphors, personification, rhythm, repetition, alliteration, and onomatopoeia.
Once you have completed your first draft, don’t forget to edit, improve and redraft.
Finally, once you are happy with your poem, you may want to illustrate it (think about the illustrations in The Highwayman book we read in class).
Log in to SATs Companion using the student login details and click through to the Order of Operations area and answer SATs style questions. Remember, if you find an area of BODMAS challenging, you can watch the SATs Companion tutorial on it.
Login to TT Rockstars and see if you can improve your time. Don't forget to take part in the battle for your class or year group.

Children need regular breaks and exercise. If you have a safe outdoor space please ensure you get some fresh air and exercise. If you do not have an outdoor space try one of these Dance videos.
