Good morning Nursery! We hope you have enjoyed learning all about different types of transport in our transport topic. So far we have looked at buses, trains, boats and rockets .This week we are looking at walking.
Please continue posting on the Nursery blog so we can see all the exciting things you have been doing with your families while staying home and staying safe.
This week we will be looking at one of our favourite stories - ‘We’re Going on a Bearhunt’ by Michael Rosen.
Watch the author Michael Rosen reading the story and join in with all the key phrases and actions !
What parts of the story did you like best?
Do you think the bear was happy or sad ? why?
Can you recall the adventure of the family in order? What came first?
Imagine you are going on a bear hunt, make a list – Can you draw what would you need to bring on a family adventure?
This week we will be continuing to introduce the children to early phonics - letter sounds.
In Nursery we use the Jolly Phonics rhymes and actions to help the children to remember each sound. We will introduce two sounds each week.
This week the sounds are 'I' and 'N'.
Watch these Jolly phonics videos regularly and practise the songs and actions.
Go on a sound hunt around your house.
How many objects can you find that begin with s, or a, or n?
Can you time yourself? How long does it take?
Can you have a race with a family member? Who can be the fastest?
